After arrival, an airport transfer to your hotel by car and check-in/arrival at your hotel if you are travelling in your own car. You can take a walk around town or relax in the hotel wellness centre. In the early evening, you will meet your trip advisor, who will go through the itinerary for your trip and hand over a programmed satnav and route book. For those arriving in their own cars, the trip advisor will talk about the itinerary over the telephone.

YOU WILL SEE: Valley de Joux (valley of the master watchmakers) | Lavaux (UNESCO region) | Gruyères | Grindelwald

You will start out after breakfast. The first part leads along the valley of the master watchmakers – the Valley de Joux – and then you continue to Lavaux, an area with cascading vineyards protected by UNESCO. Around lunchtime, you will arrive in the small town of Gruyères, which combines everything typical for Switzerland. In the afternoon, you will cross two lower, but attractive mountain passes in the Bernese Alps. You will stay in Grindelwald.

TODAY YOU WILL DRIVE: across the Grimsel, Furka and Susten passes, around Lake Lucerne to Zurich

We recommend you start out in the early morning so that you can properly enjoy two of the gorgeous passes – Grimsel and Furku. At the top of one of the passes, at a towering height of 2,500 m above sea level, we recommend stopping for a coffee and taking in the breathtaking views. The third member of the Big 3 is Susten. You will pass over this one after lunch. You then continue along Lake Lucerne to Zurich, where you will stay in the centre. We will collect your hire car here. You can enjoy the evening city.
