A four-day stay and two-day scenic drive in your own vehicles over two renowned and countless other beautiful Alpine passes.
The driving excursion combines the joy of driving with accommodation and fine dining that is an experience in itself. The trip will place you in the company of people who share the same passion for cars and travel.EXPERIENCE IMMEASURABLE DRIVING PLEASURE
The two-day driving trip covers 700 km. Most of the route consists of excellent technical roads and mountain passes. The main section is the passage over two renowned passes: the Flüela Pass, voted the best Alpine road by the original Top Gear presenters and also the famed southern part of the Stelvio Pass, which you will drive through twice. You'll be going early in the morning. Very early in the morning!
GENIUS LOCI - EXPERIENTAL STAY
The accommodation, as well as the gastronomy, is truly an experience to be savoured. It's not opulent five-star accommodation and Michelin-starred restaurants, but refined places with genius loci and Relais & Chateaux hospitality. We have personally visited all the hotels and restaurants and believe that you will be so impressed by them that you will gladly plan a return visit.
DAY-BY-DAY PROGRAMME
Individual arrival in Vaduz, Liechtenstein. Check-in and use of the hotel's spa is possible from 3:00 pm. At 7:00 pm, all participants will meet for a welcome dinner.

To avoid traffic we’ll be setting off very early, so breakfast will be delivered to your rooms. As a reward for waking up so early, you'll be able to drive the empty Flüela Pass. After a brief stop for coffee & cake, we’ll drive the pass back and forth once more, a true joy and well worth doing... We’ll thencontinue on to the Italian border, stopping for lunch at a famous gourmet restaurant near St Moritz before we cross the border.
After lunch we continue through Livigno to Bormio, passing over several small passes along the way. We’ll be staying overnight in a five star hotel above Bormio, a magical hotel, built in the 19th century on thermal springs, which towers above Bormio, like something out of the movie Grand Hotel Budapest. This hotel will be your home for the night, and since its healing baths are worth a visit, plan to arrive there around 4 pm. Upon arrival, enjoy a glass of prosecco and canapés.
After visiting the spa, we will meet up in the hotel's impressive ballroom to enjoy a delicious Italian dinner.Overnight stay in a five-star hotel above Bormio.

Another advantage of your hotel above Bormio is that it is situated directly under the Stelvio Pass and on the "better" side. So we’ll take advantage of this benefit and before breakfast drive to the top of this driving icon to greet the sunrise. After taking in this "heavenly view" we return to the hotel for a nice breakfast. You can probably guess what will follow after breakfast... Yes, we'll go to Stelvio again. And then down, the“worse“ north side, with 48 challenging switchbacks! By then it will probably be full of cyclists and other cars, but the views will still be stunning.
Another highlight of the day will be Merano, the prosecco region and its castle hotel. We’ll stop for lunch there, on a suspended balcony, with a breathtaking view of the valley and vineyards. You will be delighted!
After lunch we continue on to the German border, where we pass through a toll section in a nature reserve. The passage is expensive by local standards, but a great advantage for our group - no traffic to speak of, no speed cameras. Pure driving nirvana!
Soon after, we arrive at our final destination on Lake Tegernsee, the pearl of the lake – your five-star hotel for the final night.
If on the previous slide we talked about the restaurants as not being "opulent", that's not entirely true here on Lake Tegernsee. You can look forward to refined dishes. For us, it is one of the best Michelin-starred restaurants in Germany.

Treat yourself to a nice long sleep with a delicious breakfast. Check-out is 12:00 pm, departure back home.
